Janice Bracken Wright

More than 20 years ago, Janice made the leap to volunteer at the Atlanta Humane Society despite living an hour and a half away, because she wanted to be a part of the mission. And over the years, she dedicated her time to helping the animals throughout every department in the organization. It did her heart good.

"I just loved it and always left feeling like I made a difference and with a feeling for hope for the animals in our area." Volunteering was just the start of Janice's future with the Atlanta Humane Society. Since then, she has joined the Board of Directors and captained their Walk for the Animals team to success. Janice kept the team focused on making a difference for the animals who needed them and kept them engaged by keeping the Walk for the Animals in front of them. Through emails, social sharing and simply by asking, Janice led the Board of Directors team to raise more than $20,000.
